It's time. It's finally here...football season. I'm going to talk long term here, hopefully I'll still be writing these things so you can look back at my predictions.
First and foremost I'm a Rams fan. This season they will have 10+ wins in the regular season and end up losing in the playoffs somewhere.
The pathetic Detroit Lions will make a good run toward the end of the season and either barely miss the playoffs or lose in a wild card game.
I know I say this every year, but the Indianapolis Colts are one of the best teams in the league. The Colts will make it far this year, if they can use their obvious skills to get to the Super Bowl, then the championship ring is theirs.
The Atlanta Falcons will the Colts biggest challenge. The Falcons have a Super Bowl worthy team and going to want to make it happen this year. They will probably win 13+ games in the regular season.
The Patriots attempt at the first Super Bowl three peat will be unsuccessful. They will have 10 or less wins in the regular season and not even make it to the big game.
The Saints are "Flip a Coin" choice this year. They will either have their worst year or their best year this season, but not in between.
The Packers need to win a Super Bowl one last time before Favre leaves them forever. That will be the only thing on their mind the entire season. Either Favre will have an injury that causes him to miss a few games, the team's desperation for one last Favre Super Bowl ring will cause them make rookie mistakes and ultimately lose games, or a combination of the two happen.
The Chiefs will make the playoffs and lose somewhere in the midst of a Super Bowl run.
The Cowboys will only win about a third of their games.
The Dolphins will not have a shot at the playoffs, but will win at least 6 games.
The Titans won't even be newsworthy if one of their players is found taking steroids.
The Arizona Cardinals will have a good season, but will have a tough run at a playoff spot toward the end of the season.
You can count the Redskins, Bears, Bengals, and Browns out of the playoffs.
The Chargers will be the team this year that has great stats, but a tough time winning, put their offense and special teams on your fantasy team.
As far as the Super Bowl goes, it would be nice to see an NFC win, but I'm afraid that the AFC will probably take it again.
Enjoy the season!
