Our computers are always out of date. We go out and buy the top of the line, with the most memory, the biggest hard drive, the most up-to-date software. Then two months later it's old, slow, and practically obsolete. This my friends is a ploy, these companies are taking baby steps toward progression in consumer computers.
Oh look, now we can operate at 1 Gigahertz. Oh look, now you can have a full Gigabyte of RAM. Wow, you can give me a hard drive with 120 Gigabytes of free space what will I do with all of that....and then your computer is full...slow...and your seeing your computer on eBay for half of what you paid for it.....then it's brand new for half of what you paid and the latest and greatest makes your computer look like a typewriter.
Well, it's about time someone took a giant leap in the industry. Thank you AtomChip for putting something out there that is going to take another giant leap to surpass or even equate it, and in a notebook no less. The AtomChip SG220-2 runs it's own processor at 6.8 GHZ, gives you 1TB of RAM and 2TB HDD. No I didn't mistype that isn't an error it is a "T" not a "G". Check out what else it has to offer at http://atomchip.com/_wsn/page4.html (that is an underscore not a space before the "w"). The only downside is that it is coming soon and not already here. No prices were given. I sure hope that this new trend picks up and teaches it's competitors a thing or two about power.
